Switching linen providers, or choosing one for the first time, isn't a decision to make on price alone. Here are five questions worth asking any commercial laundry service before you commit.
1. What's your delivery reliability like?
A missed delivery isn't just an inconvenience — for a hotel or restaurant, it can mean scrambling to cover a shortfall during business hours. Ask directly about on-time delivery rates and what happens if something goes wrong.
2. Do you offer 24/7 support?
Hospitality doesn't run on a 9-to-5 schedule, and linen needs don't either. A provider without after-hours support can leave you stuck exactly when you need help most.
3. How do you handle damaged or lost items?
Wear and tear happens. What matters is whether a provider has a clear, fair process for reporting and handling it — not whether it happens at all.
4. Can you scale with my business?
A provider that works for a 30-room boutique hotel may not be equipped for a 200-room resort, or vice versa. Ask about capacity and how service adjusts during peak season.
5. What's included, and what isn't?
Get specific about what's covered in a quote — pickup and delivery frequency, minimum terms, and what counts as normal wear versus billable damage — before you sign anything.
